ABOUT

OUR STORY

RAILED Magazine was founded in 2025 by Evie Colman in Hereford. Frustrated by the lack of creative opportunities around her, and driven by a love of fashion, politics and culture, she created RAILED as a platform to express her frustrations creatively.

Shortly after, Evie brought in her best friend and journalistic powerhouse, Lola Cook, to help push RAILED to the next level. With a sharp editorial instinct and a talent for storytelling, Lola has helped shape RAILED Magazine’s voice.

In Autumn 2025, RAILED was awarded £10,000 in funding from the Blagrave Trust, allowing the publication to expand its platform and ability to support emerging writers and artists.

In January 2026, RAILED released its first print issue: OFF THE RAILS: ART OF PROTEST. The issue featured the work of 15 writers and artists and was stocked in Village Books in Leeds and Manchester, selling out its first 100 copies.

Today, RAILED is a platform for conversations about culture, social justice, politics, and fashion, offering a perspective outside traditional media. RAILED champions new voices and uplifts those that often exist on the margins.

WHY RAILED?

BECAUSE WE’RE ALL A LITTLE OFF THE RAILS.
BECAUSE WE LOVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
BECAUSE CLOTHES HANG ON RAILS.
BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS A BIT F*CKED

RAILED can mean something to everyone.
